it took some persuading, because the French animation student I interviewed didn't want to indulge in generalization, but this is the verbal image she came up with to respond to the question, "What is your worst image of an American tourist?"
this pencil test was made up based on an audio interview, and completed in three, intense days of animating after the Annecy festival, holed up in the aaa's beautiful building in the center of the vieille ville of Annecy.
we interviewed several French individuals for their impressions of the differences between Americans and themselves.
